Ofori Atta is like a greedy kid – Inusah Fuseini

The budget reading on the 23rd of July have not gone down well with the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC)…

The NDC have expressed their displeasure at the budget reading, or what it was supposed to be, which according to them turned into a political party rally, full of promises.

Inusah Fuseini, member of parliament(MP) for Tamale spoke on Happy FM, stating Ken Ofori Atta didn’t do justice to the budget because it was very disappointing.

“I was highly disappointed at the budget reading yesterday. This is because the Finance Minister used the time to talk about campaign promises of the party.”

“It is a very serious matter. The budget reading and review stems from our constitution. But he used that time as a campaign platform to make promises.”

According to Inusah Fuseini the finance minister failed to justify how government used the many loans it took internally and externally.

“We received loans from the IMF, World Bank, Bank of Ghana and even dipped into the stabilization fund. What prevented the Finance Minister from telling us what the money was used for?”

He went on to liken Ken Ofori Atta to a greedy child saying “he’s like a child who never gives an account of money spent but keeps asking for more.”

“Why does the year of roads appear again in the budget review.”

“How do you come and tell us in the budget review what you inherited in 2016?” he questioned
