Jordan Ayew becomes highest scoring Ghanaian player in the history of EPL

Jordan Ayew, son of Abedi Pele and brother of Dede Ayew have made history today…


He made the record during the first match of his team after the coronavirus brake,  playing against AFC Bournemouth.

Jordan, has broken the long time running record of Ghanaian legendary footballer Tony Yeboah who had 24 goals, with a single goal, making the new record 25 goals to beat.


Tony Yeboah in 1996 after spending two seasons at Leeds United scored 24 goals in his 47 Premier League appearances.

Ayew on the other hand, scored seven and eight goals for Aston Villa and Swansea City respectively during his time with them.


At Crystal Palace, he has scored 10 goals for the Eagles, bringing it to a total of 25 and beating Tony Yeboah’s record that lasted over 2 decades.


Top five Ghanaian scorers in the English Premier League(EPL) is Jordan Ayew with 25 goals, Anthony Yeboah with 24 goals, Andre Ayew with 22 goals, Michael Essien with 17 goals and Asamoah Gyan with 10 goals.
