A junior High School have recorded it’s first coronavirus case according to news from the ministry of information…
The Director of Public Health of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, during the bi-weekly Covid 19 update through the ministry of information today revealed the school is in Oti Region.
āThe only reported JHS with a case is in the Oti Regionā, he disclosed, adding: āJust oneā.

He said: āI think they are probably adhering to the protocols more than the othersā.
Many have called for schools to be closed and kids brought back home but Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, says that’ll be a misplaced move.
“Closure of schools from the health point is not the best optionā – he said

“It is best we keep them in schools because if we decide to let them go home, then we might as well close down the whole countryā.
āFrom what we have been told, they are asymptomatic, so, they are able to go about their studiesā, he said.
He said āsending them home will be disastrous.ā
Final year Junior High school students are currently making preparations for their final exams.
