I won’t give up if I fail 2020 elections, just like Atta Mills – John Dumelo

Aspiring member of parliament and actor, John Dumelo have indicated he’s into politics to stay and not just a passing fancy.

Speaking on atinka fm, John said even if the 2020 parliamentary elections doesn’t go in his favor, he won’t give up his political career.

According to him, there are people who came before him, who tried several times before Ghanaians gave them the chance to lead, such people are in the name of deceased former President John Evans FiFi Atta Mills, and the incumbent President Nana Addo Dankwa.

β€œIf you look at the Late Former President John Evans Atta Mills, he lost two times before he won finally. The current President, Akufo Addo, lost two times and won on the third time.
The fact that you lose an election does not mean you should give up. You have to keep trying and learn from your mistakes and eventually victory will be yours.” John Dumelo said.”

When asked what’s to become of his acting career incase he said he’ll still be pursuing it in addition to his political career stating; “I’ll not give up on acting if I’m voted to represent my people in Parliament.”

John is aspiring to represent the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in parliament.

He has already won with 758 votes while his only contender, Madam Adoboe had 99 votes, with two ballots rejected.
