Speaking in the studios of Wontumi Radio/TV on their morning political talk show earlier this week, Maurice Ampaw says Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings called on him personally.
According to the celebrity lawyer, Konadu Rawlings called on him and he answered the call by showing up at her office.

When he reached there, he says she told him she has a proposition for him, which was for him to join him as a vice candidate in leading the NDP.
Maurice Ampaw says the idea excited him but he had to be honest and tell her his loyalty lies with the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
The NDP was founded from a separatist group of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) led by former First Lady of Ghana and wife of the founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings in 2012 where they contested in the elections.
