Former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama have indicated that the current government of Ghana is failing woefully at things they promised Ghanaians…
In a digital address on the Thursday, the NDC presidential candidate claims the coronavirus pandemic have exposed the NPP government.
“They said the economy has been the best that we have ever had since independence,” Mahama jabbed
According to Mahama, unlike what the NPP wanted the country to believe in the earlier stages of the virus in Ghana, with the claim that we can survive 3 months because we’re prepared, it’s not so.
“We have not been able to survive even one month,” the ex-president jabbed, adding “if we didn’t run to the IMF for the $1billion rapid credit facility, it is possible that in the next two months probably, salaries would not have been paid.” – he added.
Mahama says when building an economy, it is prudent to have “enough buffers and create fiscal space so that when you are faced with a shock or adversity, you are easily able to overcome it.”
The solution to all this? Mahama advice the cut down of expenditures starting on the part of government with over 120 appointees.
