The former Black Stars Coach has been described ungrateful for his decision to drag the Ghana Football Association to the World Football governing body over his unpaid salaries.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kofi Asare Brako has labeled Coach Kwesi Appiah has ungrateful after announcing his decision to report the Ghana FA to FIFA over his unpaid salaries.
Brako accused the 59-year-old trainer of failing to show gratitude to the West African nation for not sacking him despite his failure to execute his contractual obligations stipulated under the contract with the Ghana FA.
According to him, Appiah wasn’t show the exit door after performing woefully at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after being tasked to win the tournament.
”Kwasi Appiah is ungrateful to report GFA to FIFA. He should know that when you report GFA you have reported Ghana to FIFA,” Asare Brako told Kumasi-based radio station Nhyira
“FIFA will inquire about the contract document between the two parties and will make a judgement base on your achievement in the contract.
“He failed to perform his four mandates tasked to him in the contract but was not fired.
“He should have even thanked the GFA and the Sports Ministry for that”.
Asare Brako said Isreali coach Avram Grant was owned by the Ghana Football Association after his contract with Football governing body had expired but he never threatened to report either the FA or the Sports Ministry to FIFA.
”Avram Grant never reported Ghana to FIFA to have his arrears paid until the ministry settled him.”
“What Kwasi Appiah is doing makes him ungrateful to Ghana. He should show gratitude to GFA and MoYS”. He added.
