Faulty traffic lights on the roads in Awoshie-Mangoase, in the Ablekuma North Constituency have been the cause of recent accidents.
Most recently, two people were involved in a tragic vehicle accident on the roads because of the faulty traffic lights.
Angry residents of Awoshie-Mangoase, took to the streets to express their displeasures through a demonstration, when the member of parliament(MP) for the constituency decided to make an appearance.
Member of Parliament for the area, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, tried to sooth the anger of her people but they weren’t having any of it.
The residents who’re obviously fed up with the usual political talk and promises chased her away and security personnels had to intervene shortly after, on the count that the protest was getting out of hands.
Military and police personnels who came to manage the situation fired some warning shots in a bid to disperse the angry crowd
The gun shots did little to stop them, as they proceeded with their demonstration after a momentarily scare.
