Invitation to send estimates for second quarter financial results

Equinor invites analysts with coverage of the company to provide estimates for the second quarter adjusted results.
Equinor publishes second quarter 2023 financial results on 26 July.
Every quarter ahead of the earnings announcement, Equinor collects earnings and production estimates from the equity analysts covering the company.
These numbers become a proxy for what the market expects in terms of Equinor’s results and are published as “consensus” a week prior to the actual release.
The invitation to send estimates contains information on some relevant factors for Equinor’s quarterly results as well as other information. Some of these items are preliminary.

Completed share capital reduction in connection with share buy-back
In line with the objective for the share buy-back programme which was executed by Equinor ASA in four tranches in the period 16 May 2022 until 20 March 2023, the annual general meeting on 10 May 2023 in Equinor ASA decided that the share capital shall be reduced with NOK 430,913,885 from NOK 7,938,675,397.50 to NOK 7,507,761,512.50, by deletion or redemption of total 172,365,554 shares.
Government go-ahead for Irpa, Verdande and Andvare
The plans for development and operation of the subsea fields Irpa and Verdande, and the production well Andvare in the Norwegian Sea have been approved by Norwegian authorities. The gas field Irpa will be tied back to Aasta Hansteen, whereas the oil field Verdande and the Andvare well will be tied back to Norne.
Zagórzyca solar plant in Poland launched
Equinor’s second Polish solar plant, Zagórzyca has started test production. This is another step towards building a material renewable portfolio in Poland, which is one of Europe’s most rapidly growing renewable energy markets.
